Our first event T-shirts
In 1982, if you can remember that far back, very few events gave
away T-shirts 'free' when you entered/finished the race, although
this was common practice in America. The first Runnerprint/Winner
T-shirt sold at an event was for the Sale 15 Road Race in August
1982 (heat transfer printed). The first ever screen printed T-shirt
was available at the Citizen Newspapers Half Marathon at Blackburn
the following month.
Continuous growth
Since then, steady continuous growth has seen us supplying events
the length and breadth of Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland,
Germany, Gibraltar and other parts of Europe.
New premises
Starting in a small house in Burnley, Lancashire, we have moved
premises three times to accomodate growth and the company now occupies
a spacious converted school house/chapel of 6000 sq ft in the quiet
Lowerhouse area 3 miles from the town centre.
Evolution
From an athletic event background Runnerprint/Winner has evolved
over the years to become a premier UK supplier of screen printed
and sublimation printed running vests and T-shirts to charities
and embroidered clothing to customers as diversified as charities,
schools, clubs, businesses large and small, borough councils and
leisure centres.
